donkey raise

…which means he had to hand over the lead to myself, Mr. Blue. I went from $292 to $364 the last few days, which is enough to keep Mr. White ($318), Mr. Brown ($311) and Ms. Pink ($238) behind me.

My most important cash out this week was a second place in a $10 sng with 45 players. Let’s watch an important hand from that tourney, because that’s most interesting after all:

So it’s a hand between four players after the SB raises two times the BB :s , I mean why??! I catch the absolute dream flop: top pair top kicker with the nut flushdraw (OK it also could have been AAT, but small chance I would have been paid in that case). The SB bets 2 BB’s again and I make a small raise: obviously I want to build a big pot here. It’s checked to me on the turn which I bet of course, one caller. River gives me the nuts and I get called by QQ, which is probably played at his worst by this player :) .

Mr. White is also running quiete well and has a good run on the nine and six handed sng’s. Ms. Pink is trying to cath up with the rest meanwhile, but will need a big cash out soon to accomplice that. Finally I’ll show you a hand from Mr. Brown which he played during his bad run^^:

Hehe, nice board ;) .

Yes that’s the result for the leader of the challenge and the author of this post after 45 days of active play. I really rediscovered the hu-games as the fastest method towards making money. Let’s show you one of the fantastic things that happen over there:

So without making any sense at all, he moves all-in preflop with about 24 bb’s. Of course I call with AQ and have him crushed like hell, that’s +$11 in about 4 minutes^^. This makes that my lead on Mr. Blue ($256, about the same as last time) is over $100 now and even over $150 ($206, 5 bucks down since last time) on Ms. Pink.

So my nearest pursuer is the lovely Mr. White again, who recovered from his tilt and has $273 right now, 1 dollar above his pre-tilt bankroll ;) . He decided again to only play some basic 9 handed sng’s, where he played among others the next hand:

I quote his comments: “So I limp with 77 and some idiot makes it 300 in the SB, I mean why’s that? Surprise suprise, everybody calls and three unders to my pair appear on the flop. I bet when it’s checked to me and just call the raise because I’m not sure I have the best hand. The turn is one of my 3 dreamcards and I rake in a big pot and win the tourney.”
